May 4th-5th, 2012 - A BIG WEEKEND FOR 2023 COMICS!

May 4^th is now just a month away, our scheduled release date for not just issue #3 of CORPUS CHRISTI, but according to the title's printer possibly some other books and variants as well. 

Here is the breakdown:

ISSUE #3, COVER A, WIDE RELEASE FRIDAY, MAY 4^th, 2012

Fans asked for them and we ran with it and produced 5 separate variants of issue #3.  However, the variants for this issue will be in much smaller production numbers compared to cover A, so if you really want some of these, be on the lookout May 4^th.

ISSUE #3, COVER B, RELEASE DATE FRIDAY, MAY 4^TH, 2012 – 1:80 RATIO!  (ONLY 3 WILL BE LOCATED LOCALLY IN CORPUS CHRISTI!)

ISSUE #3, COVER C “RED SKY”, RELEASE DATE FRIDAY, MAY 4^TH, 2012 – 1:8 RATIO  (Basically 1 for every 8 copies of cover A .  The majority of these will be for sale only in local city outlets that weekend, with a few online and/or at Summer Comicons)

ISSUE #3, COVER D “NO NAME”, RELEASE DATE FRIDAY, MAY 4^TH, 2012 – 1:80 RATIO!  (ONLY 3 WILL BE LOCATED LOCALLY IN CORPUS CHRISTI!)

ISSUE #3, COVER E “DARK SKY” HOMAGE, RELEASE DATE FRIDAY, MAY 4^TH, 2012 – 1:8 RATIO  (Basically 1 for every 8 copies of cover A .  The majority of these will be for sale only in local city outlets that weekend, with a few online and/or at Summer Comicons)

48 PAGES IN A TRADE FORMAT, CONTAINING THE ORIGINAL 34 PAGE STORY, PLUS PAGES OF ORIGINAL CONCEPTUAL ART FOR THE BOOK FIRST CREATED IN 2003, NEW ART AND A HISTORY AND PAGE COMPARISON SECTION.  SIGNED BY SCRIPT WRITER CORBIN DOUGLAS AND COVER COLORIST JOSEPH MITCHELL.  ON TOP OF THE EXTRAS, THIS ONE WILL HAVE A SURPRISE INSIDE FOR THOSE WHO MIGHT OWN A FIRST OR SECOND PRINT ALREADY OF ISSUE #1!  40 COPIES OF THIS SPECIAL RELEASE ARE TO BE AVAILABLE FOR THAT WEEKEND.  PLUS, STAY TUNED!  WE ARE WORKING ON AN ADDITIONAL SECOND SURPRISE FOR “1CE”!  WE DON’T WANT TO SAY MUCH MORE ABOUT IT JUST IN CASE IT DOESN’T PAN OUT; BUT IF IT WORKS OUT, AND RIGHT NOW THINGS ARE LOOKING VERY GOOD THAT THEY MIGHT, WE WILL HAVE A FUTURE ANNOUCEMENT ABOUT SOMETHING REALLY, REALLY COOL TO ENHANCE THE EXPERIENCE OF READING THIS TITLE!

CORPUS CHRISTI artist Trent Westbrook will be doing two book signings on May 5^th, 2012 during the FREE COMIC BOOK DAY event.
